Basking in the runway spotlight at a Tokyo fashion show, next to the 5 million yen (US$50,000) Russian sable coat is a cape of lowly polyester sewn with chinchilla that's being billed as "ecological fur."

Wavin of The Netherlands, one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of plastics systems for the building, construction and utilities industries, has installed three Eriez tunnel-type Model 20C Metal Detectors at its U.K. headquarters in Chippenham, Wiltshire, England.
Wavin looked to Eriez to provide a metal contamination solution which would also ensure a steady and continuous feed of recyclable material to their granulators. Wavin collects and stores plastics waste and other plastics components in large storage bins. Before being fed to granulators, the contents of the bins are decanted onto an inclined inspection table from which any over-sized pieces are removed.
