250HP Cal-Sierra Plastic Densifier Description: A densifier is used to process and recycle light or loose materials such as film, foam, and textiles. The system benefits from a tub like grinder that shreds/grinds the material and then uses frictional heat to convert the material into a densified agglomerate nugget/regrind. The material can be directly used for manufacturing in regrind form or fed into an extruder for further processing adding value and productivity. The 250Hp system can process up to 2500 lbs. of material per hour. Some common applications are LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE, PET, EPS, PP, BOPP, PA, and PS film, foam, and fiber grades. It is a batch process which makes it easy to switch from one grade to another.
